How do iGaming affiliate programs work with Hybrid deals?
A Hybrid affiliate arrangement combines a payment for qualifying acquisitions with a share of a defined revenue base. It is not a third independent revenue source. A referred player may contribute to both components when the contract permits it and the relevant conditions are met. Some programmes use different rules, so the exact combined structure must be confirmed.
Two components, two sets of conditions
For the CPA component, clarify FTD requirements, new-player eligibility, qualifying actions, approval and clawbacks. For Revenue Share, clarify the revenue base, deductions, negative carryover and commission duration. Do not assume that approval for one component automatically establishes eligibility for the other. Reporting should make each component visible.
Compare the whole package
A Hybrid proposal should be evaluated as a complete agreement, not as two headline numbers in isolation. Its CPA amount or revenue percentage may differ from a standalone offer. Assess expected acquisition quality, audience fit, campaign production costs and how variable revenue affects the overall outcome. No structure is automatically more profitable than another.
Campaign reporting and settlement
Agree how campaign identifiers link acquisitions to revenue reporting, which periods are used and how each commission component is approved. Ask whether payments settle together or separately, whether adjustments can offset other earnings and how reporting disputes are resolved. Consistent reporting makes it easier to understand campaign results without treating projected revenue as a guaranteed payout.
Hybrid deal coordination with Makers Agency
Makers Agency connects licensed operators and relevant creators, supports the commercial discussion and coordinates campaigns and reporting. A useful initial enquiry includes the target market, audience, approved channels and preferred deal structure. Rates, revenue participation, qualifying conditions and payment schedules are negotiated individually. Compare CPA and Revenue Share guides before deciding what to discuss.
Is a Hybrid deal always better than CPA?
No. The best fit depends on qualification rules, revenue terms, audience and campaign economics. Combining two components does not remove performance or contractual risks.
